Advisor sought for Dholera greenfield airport in Gujarat

Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC), an ambitious infrastructure program aiming to develop new industrial cities, has recently published a Request for Qualification (RfQ) cum Request for Proposal (RfP) for the selection of transaction advisor for development of the Dholera International Airport in Gujarat.

DMICDC intends to appoint a consultancy firm as transaction advisor to assist in establishing the proposed airport project. More specifically, the broad scope of work includes:

  • project structuring and financial model and
  • bid process management

The proposed Dholera Airport project is conceived and planned by the state government of Gujarat in partnership with DMICDC to serve the logistic requirement of upcoming Dholera Special Investment Region (one of the nodes planned for the Delhi-Mumbai corridor) besides handling the spill over traffic from the existing Ahmedabad city airport in future. Additionally, Dholera airport location is ideally placed to serve the nearby cities of the state.

The government has already identified and reserved 1426 hectares of land in the Navagam Village, in Dholera. Work on the airport is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2018.

Interested applicants are requested to submit their responses to the RfQ cum RfP on or before 1st June, 2016.
