Road concession in ColombiaAlmost three months ago, on 24 Febryary 2012, The 'Fondo Financiero de Fondos de Dearrollo' (FONADE) released a tender for consultancy firms to advise the government on the preparation of Feasibility studies and the structuring of certain concession contracts for four road packages.See tender website here: http://www.fonade.gov.co/Contratos/Public/ViewContract.aspx?IdContract=3054On 29 March 2012, 16 consortia of consultancy firms presented their offers to get one of the four packages. The packages were split in the following way:GROUP 1 CENTRO SUR. Corridors:(1) Girardot - Puerto Salgar - Ibague; (2) Neiva - Girardot and (3) Santana - Mocoa - Neiva.GROUP 2 CENTRO OCCIDENTE. Corridors: (1) Duplication of Ibague - La Paila; (2) Duplication of Buga - Buenaventura and (3) Santander de Quilichao - Chachagui.GROUP 3 CENTRO ORIENTE. Corridors: (1) Perimetral de Oriente de Cundinamarca, (2) Bogota - Villavicencio (Sectors 1 and 2), (3) Villavicencio - Arauca (4) Malla Vial Meta and (5) Puente Arimena - Puerto Carreño.GROUP 4 NORTE. Corridors: (1) Caucasia - La Ye; (2) El Viajano - San Marcos; (3) Cereté - Cruz del Viso; (4) Ciénaga de Oro - La Ye; (5) Sahagún - Sincellejo; (6) Cruz del Viso - Arjona, (7) Corozal - Cruz del Viso; (8) Puerta de Hierro - Yatí; (9) Carreto - Ponedera; (10) El Burro - Tamalaque; (11) Cartagena - Barranquilla; (12) Barranquilla - Ye de Ciénaga; (13) Quebrada del Doctor - Puerto Santa Marta; (14) Distrcción - La Florida; (15) San Roque - Cuestecitas; (16) Valledupar - La Paz and (17) Valledupar - San Juan del Cesar.The experiences requested from the consultants side were the following:- Legal Experience

Advisors recommended for Colombia road concession packages

ANI releases shortlists for Cartagena-Barranquilla and Cundinamarca bypass
In early July 2013 the Colombian Infrastructure Unit, ANI, shortlisted ten candidates for each, the Loboguerrero - Mulaló highway concession and the Honda - girardot - Puerto Salgar highway concession. These two projects represent the first two big PPP projects tendered in Colombia of the so called 4G Concessions Program. Read more
