Mexico’s Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT) has received proposals from 11 bidders for the Querétaro-San Luis Potosí road concession.
The teams are, namely, the consortia formed by:
- La Peninsular Compañía Constructora, Operadora de Administración Técnica and Constructora y Pavimentadora Vise. Proposal: MXN4.96 billion (US$262 million)
- Coconal and Operadora de Autopistas. Proposal: MXN4.3 billion (US$227 million)
- Mota-Engil México, Calzada Construcciones, Construcciones y Dragados del Sureste y Constructora y Promotora Malibran. Proposal: MXN 5.8 billion (US$307 million)
- Servyre, Grupo Fervic, Construobras de la Garza and Construcciones Carreteras. Proposal: MXN4.9 billion (US$260 million)
- Epccor, Aldesa, Proacon México, Construcciones Aldesem, Mantenedora de Caminos Aldesem and Sociedad Mexicana de Inversión e Infraestructura. Proposal: MXN6.1 billion (US$327 million)
- Omega Construcciones Industriales. Proposal: MXN4.7 billion (US$248 million)
- Acciona. Proposal: MXN3.67 billion (US$193 million)
- Integradora Latinoamericana de Infraestructura Constructiva, Grupo Edificador Baesgo, Constructora Eunice, Constructora Feluxa, Servicios de Consultoria en Infraestructura Vial and lcapsa Infraestructura de Desarrollo. Proposal: MXN4.37 billion (US$231 million)
- Red de Carreteras de Occidente, Asfaltos Guadalajara and Rexy. Proposal: MXN7.18 billion (US$379 million)
- Foja Ingenieros Construcciones, Grinnav, Conreccsa, Grupo Sabbagh Edificador Genesis and Señalatex. Proposal: MXN2.54 billion (US$134 million)
- Promotora y Desarrolladora Mexicana de Infraestructura. Proposal: MXN3.6 billion (US$191 million)
According to sources, the announcement of the winning team for the PPP contract is scheduled for September 27.
The project's scope envisages the rehabilitation ot the 317 km Querétaro-San Luis de Potosí highway, as well as maintenance and repairs of the existing bridges. The PPP contract will have a duration of 10 years and with an investment estimated at US$100 million.
This project is part of the new 10 PPP projects pipeline launched by the Government in September 2015 with combined investment of US$741 million this year.
