The company is the dominant provider of telephone services in Argentina, with more than 4.6 million lines in service. Its offerings include local, domestic and international long-distance, and public phone service, as well as Internet access. Basic telephone services, including both monthly and measured charges, account for about half of the company's revenues. Spanish incumbent telecommunications carrier Telefónica indirectly owns 98% of Telefónica de Argentina.
