It was a power company listed on Oslo Børs with business areas power generation, grid, heat and power sales. June 20, 2018, Oslo City Council decided to assemble Hafslund AS and E-CO Energi AS in a new wholly owned parent company, Hafslund E-CO AS. Hafslund E-CO was established July 4, 2018.
