Metropolità de Barcelona Ferrocarril ( FMB ) is a public railway company established in 1920 to build a metropolitan railway line in the city of Barcelona . Municipalized in the mid- 20th century and merged with the other metro company, the Gran Metropolità de Barcelona . Currently, it operates eight of the eleven Barcelona subway services , the other three are Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya . Control Center in the neighborhood of La Sagrera , from where it controls and coordinates all the lines in its charge
