Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas is a 100% state-owned company founded in 2014 and is the national executor of the Rail Baltica project in Latvia.
European Railways is responsible for the design and construction of point facilities in Latvia – the station and infrastructure of the Rail Baltica Central Hub and Riga Airport, regional mobility points, depots in Mārupe and infrastructure service points in Iecava and Skulte, the Salaspils Intermodal Logistics Terminal, as well as the construction of the main ways of Rail Baltica expropriation of real estate for the needs of Rail Baltica in Latvia, creation of an infrastructure management system in Latvia and cooperation with the Baltic States, creation of unified infrastructure management throughout the Rail Baltica line.
