It is the largest metro system in India and the second largest in Asia, after Shanghai Metro. The Delhi Metro has a network of over 390 km and over 280 stations. The Delhi Metro is a popular mode of transportation in Delhi, with over 6 million passengers using the system daily. The system is known for its efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.
The Delhi Metro has been awarded several awards for its excellence, including the MetroRail News International Award for "Metro Railway of the Year" in 2012 and the Union of International Railways (UIC) Metro Award for "Best Metro System in the World" in 2014.
