The Rural Development Bank, Sociedad Anónima (Banrural) is a Guatemalan bank , belonging to a joint-stock company of a mixed nature. It has 9,629 employees and 1,151 agencies, 1,000 ATM points and 2,000 rural banks around the country. Registers, in national currency, 1.3 million accounts in monetary deposits and 5.3 million savings accounts in Guatemala. 1 In 2014, Banrural extended its services to Honduras. It formally initiated its operations on January 2, 1998, from the beginning it sought to serve the rural area, beyond the agricultural sector, offering a series of diverse financial services.
