Advanced Water Technology (AWT), based in Saudi Arabia, is a newly formed subsidiary of TAQNIA, the commercial arm of King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology (KACST). Embracing the entire water value chain from upstream desalination to downstream reuse and water management, AWT helps develop sustainable water solutions that ensure water abundance and accessibility. Building the world's first large-scale desalination plant powered by solar (Al Khafji, KSA), AWT is developing sustainable water solutions that produce more water with less energy.
