Sweett Group

Company description

Sweett Group is one of the UK's oldest quantity surveying businesses, originally founded by Cyril Sweett in 1928. Then operating under the corporate name Cyril Sweett, the Group existed on London's AIM stock exchange in 2007, raising £26 million and valuing the business at £61 million.  It is listed on the London Alternative Investment Market and operates across 17 countries, providing property and construction related services.

The Group initially expanded throughout the UK and then internationally, with the acquisition of a number of cost management and project management firms, including Burns Bridge, an Australian based project management firm and in July 2010, Widnell Ltd, the biggest independent cost management firm in Asia. Recent expansion includes a joint venture in New York with VVA, their American alliance partner in 2012.

The organisation was rebranded as Sweett Group in July 2011, consolidating the Group's existing brands.
